One of the recommendations from a recent study the town conducted is to establish an Economic Development Committee. This Committee would advise on business development by acting as a liaison between business and other town boards and committees, state agencies, and other organizations. The Committee would also provide a point of contact to developers to assist in and guide the course of economic development in town. Additionally, the Committee would advise the various boards and committees on strategies and options to promote responsible development of business in town. The
Committee would also develop an Economic Development Plan.
The Economic Development Committee will be an advisory committee comprised of seven individuals, each appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a term of three years on a staggered basis. The town is seeking members to serve on this board.
